3. Donald Trump will betray the religious right.

Donald Trump would not have come to power without the overwhelming support of the religious right. But here’s the thing: I don’t believe he has any actual loyalty to them.

Trump has no loyalty to the Christian tradition, the way of Jesus, or anyone but himself. He simply used the religious right, and they played right into his game. While I believe he will govern as a conservative, I do not believe he will govern consistently– because he does not hold a set of values that are consistent to guide him.

This “I listen to no one but myself, because I’m smart” type mentality, means there will come a time when Trump won’t think twice about betraying the very people who lifted him to power. My prayer as a Christian is that this betrayal will be so overwhelming, the religious right is forced to re-consider the degree of hope and trust they put in earthly political leaders. It’ll be a painful lesson but an important one.

It's not the end of the world, but it's pretty #@&% close. Trump's America & Franklin Graham's Christianity must be resisted.
